The Program

Our modules are curated from real engagements with the exchanges, fintechs, and payment teams we work with across the region, and tailored to your business. Everything is industry-grounded, actionable, and ready to be applied to your own products straight away.

Custom-fit to your companyBuilt from real engagementsActionable from day one
MODULE 01

An Introduction to Stablecoins

The foundation. What stablecoins are, how the peg actually holds, and the handful that matter in APAC. Cuts through the noise without dumbing it down.

By the end, your team will
  • Explain what a stablecoin is, and how it differs from traditional fiat money
  • Name the five stablecoins that matter for APAC, including MYR and SGD-pegged options
  • Identify the risks that actually apply to payments, and how to manage them
MODULE 02

Stablecoins for Cross-Border Payments

How stablecoins actually move money: the four-step flow, what changes, what doesn't, and who's running it live today.

By the end, your team will
  • Trace both a traditional and a stablecoin payment flow step by step
  • Quantify the speed, cost, and transparency gap on a live corridor
  • See why stablecoins change the rails but not the compliance rules
MODULE 03

APAC and Malaysia Lens

Where Malaysia and APAC really stand: the corridors that matter, and the move that's right for your team.

By the end, your team will
  • Map the live and emerging corridors most relevant to Malaysian fintechs
  • Position your team as observer, integrator, or builder
  • Know the next move
MODULE 04

The Business Case

The corridor economics in real numbers, why early movers set the terms, and a quick read on where your team stands.

By the end, your team will
  • Compare corridor unit economics: traditional rails versus stablecoin rails
  • Understand what early movers gain
  • Benchmark your team's readiness with a private five-point self-audit

How it works

STEP 01 · 30 min

Discovery call

We spend half an hour mapping your corridor, your team's starting point, and what you're trying to solve. This conversation shapes everything that comes after.

STEP 02 · ~5 days lead

Tailored program

The session is built around what your team actually needs. Topics, depth, and examples are customised. No generic syllabuses.

STEP 03 · Half / full-day

In-person delivery

Jake delivers the session at your office. Interactive, discussion-driven, built for the people in the room, not a passive lecture.

More than a training session.

  • 01Pre-read brief distributed ahead of the session
  • 02Interactive, trainer-led session with live Q&A
  • 03Post-session summary with frameworks, key decisions, and next steps
  • 04Corridor teardown relevant to your specific business

Jake Hiew · Lead Trainer

Meet your trainer

Jake Hiew has spent over a decade in stablecoins, crypto and cross-border payments.

He has worked inside the companies building this market. At each one, he trained commercial and operational teams on stablecoins, agentic payments and blockchain applications, turning fast-moving products into real-world solutions that generate revenue.

That comes with real fluency in how money moves across Southeast Asia: the live corridors, the on- and off-ramps, the settlement mechanics, and how regulators in each market are thinking.

Open Valley brings that experience to your team, built around your business and the markets you operate in.

Your questions, answered.

Have you trained companies before?

Open Valley is a new program, deliberately starting with a small founding cohort, which means you get more of my attention, not less. What I bring isn't a stack of old courses; it's current, daily exposure to the stablecoin and payments market. You're learning from someone inside the industry right now, not teaching from a three-year-old deck.

Isn't this just crypto hype?

No. Stablecoin payment rails are a distinct category from token speculation. Real businesses settle real invoices on them today. Stripe, Visa, and major APAC fintechs are actively building on them. Open Valley contains zero price predictions and zero tokens to buy.

Is this legal in Malaysia?

BNM is actively developing its regulatory posture on digital assets and payments. In our modules, we do not cover anything related to financial advice or crypto trading.

We're not a technical team. Is this for us?

Yes. The program is commercial and strategic, built for BD, product, operations, treasury, innovation, and leadership teams who make payments decisions. Not for developers writing code. Technical concepts are explained in business terms throughout.

What is HRDC and do we qualify?

HRDC (Human Resources Development Corporation) lets registered Malaysian employers reclaim approved training costs against the levy they already pay. Most companies in the financial services and fintech space qualify. If you do, the training is effectively cost-neutral, funded by a levy you're already paying.

Can we pick just one or two modules?

Yes. Each module is designed to stand alone. Most teams start with Module 01 and add from there depending on their priorities. We'll discuss which combination makes sense on the discovery call.
